Here's a photo of what I've been bitching about. Cool, huh? No? Well, you're ignorant. It should be healed soon. Not that any of you care. I don't blame you.

The first time I street skated Huntington was an experience to remember. It was June 21, 2007 (the 2nd Go Skateboarding Day) and Nick Stewart and I met up with Blair Burns. We were given the treatment that day. All up until Blair left us for a kegger. Who's complaining though?

Ever since that day I've tried to make it down to skate Huntington any chance I get. Between work, school, and trying to be social it sometimes becomes troublesome to make the 30 mile trek, but whenever I'm able to I can assure myself and whoever else is with me a good time. One thing I've come to learn though is to expect the unexpected. I guess growing up in a small town has left me somewhat "virgin" eyed to the city life. After my first visits though I began to get introduced to all the sights of what metropolitan has to offer. For example:

This time around Tyler Woodward, an injured Nate Wood, and myself went down for what was the 2nd filming trip for our YOUnited Nations. After hitting the streets the three of us, along with Blair, Josh Lowther, and Jayson Mitchell made our way to Ritter Park for a little flat bar sesh.

And so it begins...

If you've visited TheBerrics.com recently then you're well aware of the contest that DVS and Gatorade is sponsoring. For those who haven't allow me to explain. The Berrics has a series of videos called "United Nations." Each United Nations focuses on a certain team in the skateboarding industry; the most recent being Volcom (I actually paused from typing just to watch it again). Now, DVS and Gatorade partnered up and created YOUnited Nations where a group of skaters come together for a 2-4 minute video montage of skateboarding to the best of their abilities. In a month from the now the top ten will be chosen and each week following the liquidation two will be displayed for us to watch. At the end of the five weeks everyone will vote for their favorite video. The group with the number one video will be flown out to California to skate the Berrics for five days where they will film their very own official United Nations.

Well, I thought it would be a fun project to take on and even if nothing happens with the video then at least we'll have something to show for the summer. Who is we? I sent out a message this morning on Facebook to people I thought that would make the video interesting and fun to watch. There's some local celebrities in this list along with some returning from the dead:

Could you really not find another mirror?

If there's one thing in life that I don't understand it's people that take pictures in bathrooms. Whether it be you and your mirror having it out or that person at EVERY party who spoons the toilet for the entire night. Regardless, the last thing I want to see is a picture of it. Call me an asshole, but it's just completely unattractive. Not that there is anything wrong with taking a picture of yourself and your $100 Ralph Lauren V-neck that you can't wait 'till Monday to show everyone at school, but when that porcelin playground is playing peek-a-boo in the background of your picture I can't help but to think of what goes down on it. And I think we all know what goes "down."

On a less disgusting and completely unrelated note, here's a recent edit to "Bodysnatchers" by Radiohead. I'm still adjusting to the switch from Vegas Studio to Final Cut but so far I really enjoy it.

Rascals don't fair well driving up hills.

So, as of lately, lately being since Spring Break, I've been dealing with an array of injuries revolving around my left foot. The first case being when I somewhat broke my ankle at the DC Plaza in Kettering, Ohio. It sidelined me for about a month, but eventually, to my knowledge at least, made a full recovery. The next incident occurred the following month at work. I stepped off a curb wrong and rolled the same ankle. Fast forward, 2-3 weeks and I'm feeling better. Now, the most recent injury has been brewing for over a month it seems.

Some friends and I took a trip down to Grayson, Kentucky to go cliff jumping(do I sound cool yet?). Being the generous guy I am, I let my friend Steve borrow my shoes. Great idea, right? Come to find out that the rock I stepped on that day introduced me to his friend, Staff Infection. Staff and I aren't that great of roommates. He doesn't appreciate my space. He's living the good life. Nice warm place to live. Free rent. God, he's such a douch bag.

Now I'm stuck with my foot in this contraption which holds an odd resemblence to something Neil Armstrong may have worn. On the other hand, I did get to play S.K.A.T.E. yesterday.

Should this be an introduction? I guess it is whether or not I want it to be, huh?

Okay, as of now, the only reason for me creating this blog is because I'm going to college. As if Facebook and Myspace aren't enough, I feel like I'll fall out of touch with people. Which is one thing that I'm trying to change about my lifestyle. The "falling out of touch" part.

More so, this blog will 90% of the time be focused on skateboarding and film projects. Some photography here and there. I see it though as a poor man's portfolio. Not that I'm poor. I have a job. Kinda. Alright, well maybe it's a lazy man's portfolio.

Anywho, here you'll find snips and clipits of skateboarding, snowboarding, music, and blah,blah,blah. What you will not find is my day-to-day happenings. Such as, "Today, me and my bros were at the gym and we were totally getting our buff on! I benched like 230, bro! It's getting me so psyched for my MMA debut! TAPOUT!" You will not see this because A) I'm not a "bro" dude and B) No one cares.
